In search of artisans at L’artigiano in fiera 2015

artigiano-in-fiera-2015At the end of Expo 2015, Milan is ready to lead the pre-Christmas annual event, beloved by all crafts enthusiasts: L’Artigiano in Fiera (The Artisan Fair).

The traditional event that takes place every year in Milan aims to bring together and give visibility to artisans from around the world. The event will take place in December at Rho-Fiera and will be a meeting point to discover and embrace the cultures and traditions of the work of more than 100 countries.

Save the date: L’Artigiano in Fiera will be held in Milan from Saturday 5th to Sunday 13th of December. The location will be the exhibition pavilions of Rho-Fiera, neighbouring to the area that hosted the Expo. The opening is scheduled every day of the week from 10.00 to 22.30. The entry is free, as usual.

The exhibition will be organised according to geographical areas, with pavilions for Italian regional artisans and other pavilions for European and International representatives.
This year we’re expecting something special, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the most important international exhibition dedicated to crafts.
We’ll be there and we hope to tell you wonderful things when back!

It is a family running company nested in a little town close to Bergamo in the north of Italy.
Soli makes beautiful gloves for the luxury industry and as soon as I set foot in the workshop I would have stand there forever looking at all that amazing tools and works.
When I was there for my interview they were working on the sampling collections and my eyes brighten up seeing so many luxury fashion company names.
